The Bank was originally named The First Credit Cooperative of Taipei, which was established on October 25th, 1917 and officially operated in 28 banchi, Chenghuang Temple Front Street( now Dihua Street), Dadaocheng District with the name of Taipei Taochiang Credit Portfolio. Since its establishment, it has always adhered to the management idea of trust, profession, and service to greet the rapid changing financial environment. During the period, our Bank failed to expand business area because we had to get the permission of cooperative credit society at the location where the head office was as required. Therefore, we thought about restructuring our Bank to achieve the goal of enlarging business area.
On September 1st, 2006, the Bank officially submitted the application for restructuring to commercial Bank. In May 4th, 2007, we were approved to change to Taochiang Commercial Bank by the Financial Supervisory Commission of Executive Yuan, and on July 1st of the same year, which was the alteration base date, we wrote off The First Credit Cooperative of Taipei. Our organizational pattern was changed from human-combined organization to capital-combined organization limited by limited liability company and the Bank was granted by Financial Supervisory Commission of Executive Yuan Gin Guan Yin 1st Tzu No 0960052886 on October 2 nd and the board resolution to publically and comprehensively change to incorporeal shares issuing. On December 3rd, we applied for log in Emerging Stock OTC.
On November 11th, 2008, the Bank was granted to set up network Bank and ATM business by Financial Supervisory Commission of Executive Yuan Gin Guan Yin 3rd Tzu No 09700379780. On December 10th of the same year, according to the examination and approval of Financial Supervisory Commission of Executive Yuan Gin Guan Yin 3rd Tzu No 09700452090, we were approved to be renamed as [Taipei Star Co., Ltd.] since January 1st, 2009 and designed new trademark [ ] to intensify the marketing of whole Bank. And on October 21 st of 2013, the Bank was renamed again as [Taipei Star Bank]. On May 30, 2016, the English Name of the Bank was changed into Taipei Star Bank.
